Richard K McGee

Richard McGee is Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Plains All American Pipeline, L.P. (NYSE: PAA) and Plains GP Holdings, L.P. (NYSE: PAGP). Mr. McGee joined Plains in 2009 and is a member of its Executive and Investment Committees. Prior to joining Plains, Mr. McGee worked (i) for 10 years at Duke Energy, serving his first two years as General Counsel for Duke’s unregulated businesses and then for eight years as President of Duke Energy International (Duke’s unregulated international subsidiary that employed ~1500 employees and owned a multi-billion dollar portfolio of power generation, pipeline and other energy assets in Latin America, Australia, Europe and the Middle East), and (ii) for 12 years at Vinson & Elkins L.L.P., where he was a partner with a focus on domestic and international acquisitions, divestitures and development work for various clients in the energy industry.

Mr. McGee graduated cum laude from Rice University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, political science and managerial studies. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 1986 from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas. Mr. McGee serves or has served on a number of non-profit boards, including Houston Ballet (Board President and Executive Committee member), Rice University Jones Graduate School of Business (Advisory Board), St. Johns School (Vice Chair and member), Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral (Parish Council President and member), Kay Bailey Hutchison Energy Center (Executive Council), and Hellenic College Holy Cross Seminary in Brookline, MA (Executive Committee).

Mr. McGee and his wife, Kris, were married in 1993 and have four children: Hugh Kelly, Eleni, Christina and Charlie.
