Ahmed Hashmi

During his forty-year career in the energy industry, Ahmed held technical, commercial, and leadership positions in the US, Europe, Africa, Latin America, and the Arabian Gulf. He led the creation and delivery of several strategic businesses, underpinned by technological and operating model innovation.

He served on BP’s corporate ventures investment committee and helped shape the corporate ventures arm, with an investment pipeline that resulted in exits, spinouts, and several technology firsts.

He has served on the Board of Directors of BP Exploration & Production Inc., Board of the International Center for Advanced Materials in Manchester UK, Board of the Energy Biosciences Institute at University of California-Berkeley, and BP's Main Board Technology Advisory Council.

Ahmed works at the intersection of strategy, innovation and transformation, through his current business (e-squared advisors LLC) in support of the global energy transition.
